What data we collect and why
When you contact us
If you call or email us, we receive the details you share, such as your name, phone number, email address, travel dates, number of guests and your message. We use them only to answer your enquiry and to arrange your booking. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Our email is provided by Google (Gmail), which processes messages on our behalf.
When you stay with us
Croatian law requires accommodation providers to register every guest with the national eVisitor system. For this we need data from your identity document, such as your name, date of birth, nationality and document number. The legal basis is our legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
When you visit this website
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you open a page, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe and working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel may process data outside the EU, using appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Website analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they view, which website referred them, and their country, device type and browser. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not follow you across other websites. Visitors are recognised only by a temporary identifier that is discarded after 24 hours, and we only see aggregated statistics. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how guests find us and improving the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by contacting us.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies and does not store any information on your device. That is why there is no cookie banner.
Fonts and images are served from our own website. We do not use Google Fonts, embedded maps, social media widgets or advertising trackers.
Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We only share it with the service providers named above (Vercel and Google), who process it on our behalf, and with public authorities where the law requires it, for example guest registration through eVisitor.
How long we keep data
- Enquiries and booking emails: for as long as needed to handle your booking, and no longer than 2 years after your stay or last message, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
- Guest registration data: for as long as Croatian law requires.
- Analytics data: kept by Vercel in aggregated form; no data that identifies you is stored after 24 hours.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have incorrect data corrected;
- have your data deleted, where we have no legal reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to how we use your data;
- receive your data in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, call or email us. You also have the right to complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka, azop.hr).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or services change. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
